![]() I saw that there are plenty of sites fitting my RV size! Why did they put me on the sites designed for big rigs to take advantage of innocent travelers to entrap with the most expensive site fee when i traveled for2.5 months. When I arrived and found the park unattractive unlike KOA. They were not transparent until they charged me upfront for same day reservation to email me that caught me off for $116.- with a policy statement that I couldn’t cancel because i made the same day reservation. They assigned me to 40 ft pull through site that i did not ask for and charged me without telling me upfront. I have a 24 ft RV that i need full hook up for 30 amp. The price for a site was outrageously price. The convenience of Fireside Buffalo Valley RV Park is NOT worth it. If you can’t get into Colter Bay, try the sister property Headwaters Lodge in Flag Ranch or one of the parks in Alpine. My recommendations for anyone visiting the Tetons, and looking for a FHU park, is to plan early and go to Colter Bay. And what’s worse, when I went to the office to inquire about them, I was asked to leave the office! Almost 2 years of full-time RV’ing and this was by far our worst RV park experience and the first time I’ve felt compelled to write a negative review. A third package (which I confirmed delivery from the shipper) was never given to me. Who wants to live in a community with rude, lying thieves? I had two packages delivered to the park (with my name on the shipping label) that were opened, one of which was already given to the maintenance crew. We’re full-time so when we pull into an RV park, it becomes our home. The staff that runs this place are rude, lying thieves that have zero customer service skills. But overpriced and run down was only part of the problem. In fact, the only thing this run down, overpriced gravel parking lot has going for it is the location. We were unable to get into Colter Bay and wanted to be close so tried Fireside Buffalo Valley and it was a big mistake. The Tetons are one of our favorite places but unfortunately Fireside Buffalo Valley RV Park has cast a dark shadow on the area. You'll see bison and deer and all sorts of wildlife. Take a left out of the resort and keep driving. Again I will say the staff was very helpful and kind. I believe you can buy bottles and boxes of wine and other for your personal consumption at your rv or tent. Snacks and ice cream are in the same building. There is a bar with a pool table, very cozy and friendly. The one bath house has laundry next to it I think it was 1.75 to wash and the same to dry. There are also restrooms right across from showers, roomy and very private. There are two shower houses each with private roomy locking shower rooms and plenty of hot water. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Beautiful views though I will say there is a row of bushes that needs to be trimmed for better viewing but if you just walk to either side the view is incredible. Not sure what everyone was complaining about. ![]()
